Wil Wheaton's Deep Core

asian fan
Right now I am watching Wil Wheaton's movie Deep Core. This has, naturally, sparked me to check out his website again. I have so much respect for this guy. The guy is a fucking masterful writer (Letters I Wrote in My Head being an example, along with which is mostly about Los Angeles stuff) and I think he's totally awesome, but he's also completely inaccessible. I want to write to him and tell him I think he did a good job in this movie despite the crappy script, but I'm basically too big a wuss to even open the e-mail (let alone figure out how to implement a digital signature, which I've never bothered to use). My main consolation is that maybe, just maybe, he'll appear at Shore Leave someday and I'll get to interpret for him. Incidentally, he and his wife are participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training event. They're trying to raise $25,000 and have less than $10,000 to go. I wish I could beg him for a bit of cash for Paddle with Pride...I'm sure he knows how hard it is to raise money for a sporting event like this.

That digital signature thing annoyed me. I ended up writing him anyway - he didn't say it *had* to be digitally signed, just that he preferred it that way.

He also says that he reads ALL email that comes to him, he just doesn't reply to it all. I say give it a go.

He's probably heard of YOU! :)

Heh! How on earth do you figure that? I can't imagine how he'd have heard of me.

Web popularity? :)

Heh! That would be nice, but there are a lot more popular people than me. Now, maybe he's heard of somebody like Kristine because she's active with, and she's a friend of mine, but I can't see how he'd know me!
